Signing in with the code sent to your email

Each time you sign in with your email and password, we email you a 6-digit code. Typing it shows that it’s really you.

Why we send a code

The code goes to the email address you sign in with. To get in, you need both your password and your inbox, so your password alone isn’t enough to see your clinic’s calls.

  • The email comes from AlloMia (no-reply@allomia.com). Its subject is Your Verification Code.
  • The code works for 2 minutes.
  • If you sign in with Google, you don’t get a code.

Enter the code

  1. Sign in with your email and password. The Verify Your Identity screen opens.
  2. Open your email and find the message from AlloMia. If you have more than one, use the newest.
  3. Type the 6 digits in Verification Code. You can also copy the code and paste it.
  4. On your own work computer, tick Trust this device for 30 days. Don’t tick it on a computer other people use.
  5. Click Verify & Sign In.

A message confirms the code, then your dashboard opens.

Get a new code

Under the button, a countdown shows (Resend code in 60s). After 60 seconds, click Resend Code to get a new code by email. The old code stops working.

You can get up to 3 codes in 10 minutes, counting the first one. After that, you’ll see “Too many code requests” with the number of minutes to wait.

Skip the code on your own computer

When you tick Trust this device for 30 days:

  • You won’t need a code on this computer and browser for 30 days.
  • You also stay signed in for up to 30 days. If you don’t tick it, you’ll need to sign in again after 1 day.
  • On another browser or another computer, you’ll get a code again.

Don’t tick it on a shared computer, like a front desk computer that several people use. Anyone at that computer could then get into your account with only your password.

If something goes wrong

  • The code doesn’t arrive: wait a minute, then look in your spam or junk folder. Make sure you’re checking the inbox of the email you signed in with. Then click Resend Code.
  • “This code has expired” or “Verification failed”: the code is more than 2 minutes old, or a newer code replaced it. Click Resend Code and use the newest code.
  • “Invalid verification code”: check the 6 digits. The screen shows how many tries you have left.
  • Your account is locked: after 3 wrong codes, we lock your account for 24 hours to protect your clinic’s information. You’ll get an email titled Account Locked - Security Alert. Wait 24 hours, or write to support@allomia.com to unlock it sooner.
  • You’re back on the sign-in screen: if more than 5 minutes have passed since you clicked Sign In and the page reloads, we send you back to sign in. Sign in again to get a new code. If a message asks you to wait, wait a minute first.
