Available Template Options

AlloMia provides several purpose-built templates to streamline your setup process:

  • Blank Template: A minimal starting point with basic settings, ideal when you want to build your agent from scratch with maximum customization.

  • FAQ Template: Designed to handle frequently asked questions efficiently, with instructions tuned for providing concise, accurate information about your organization.

Each template is available in both English and French versions, allowing you to select the primary language that best suits your needs.

Selecting and Applying Templates

To use a pre-built template when creating a new voice agent:

  1. Navigate to the Voice Agents section and click the 'Create New Agent' button.
  2. In the creation dialog, you'll see template options displayed with descriptive names and icons.
  3. Select the template that best matches your intended use case.
  4. The system will automatically populate all relevant fields with the template's predefined settings.
  5. Review the template settings, particularly the name, initial message, and system instructions.
  6. Click 'Create' to generate your new agent based on the selected template.

All template-generated settings remain fully editable, so you can use a template as a starting point and then customize as needed.

Customizing Templates

After applying a template, you should customize it to match your specific organization and needs:

  • Update Basic Information: Change the agent name and description to reflect your brand identity.
  • Personalize the Avatar: Select an avatar that represents your organization's image.
  • Modify the Initial Prompt: Edit the system instructions to include specific details about your organization, services, hours, and policies.
  • Adjust the Greeting: Customize how the agent introduces itself to match your brand voice.
  • Review Language and Voice: Ensure the default language and voice selection align with your preferences.

The template provides a solid foundation, but personalizing these elements ensures the agent accurately represents your organization.

Best Practices for Template Selection

Consider these recommendations when choosing and using templates:

  • Match to Primary Function: Select templates based on your agent's most common task. For multi-purpose agents, choose the template that aligns with the most critical function.
  • Test Immediately After Setup: Use the 'Speak with Agent' feature to test how the template-based instructions perform with typical user inquiries.
  • Start Simple, Then Expand: It's often more effective to start with a focused template (like Booking) and gradually expand capabilities rather than trying to handle everything at once.
  • Combine Template Instructions: If needed, you can copy useful sections from different template instructions and combine them in a custom agent.
  • Regularly Update Instructions: Templates provide a starting point, but you should regularly review and refine the instructions based on actual user interactions.
