Prerequisite: Active Subscription

Purchasing phone numbers requires an active paid subscription. If you are on a trial or free plan, you may need to upgrade first. A notice will appear if purchasing is not available on your current plan.

Navigating to Purchase Numbers

You can purchase numbers from the main Phone Numbers management area:

  1. Navigate to the Phone Numbers section in the main application menu (often under 'Agent' or a similar category).
  2. Select the Purchase Number tab or button.

Searching for Available Numbers

Use the search parameters form to find numbers that meet your criteria:

  • Type: Choose Local or Toll-Free. (Required)
  • Country: Select the desired country using the dropdown. (Required)
  • City / Region: (Optional) Enter a specific city or locality (e.g., 'Montreal') to narrow results.
  • Area Code: (Optional) Enter a specific area code (e.g., '438').
  • Contains: (Optional) Enter specific digits the number should contain.

Click the Search button after setting your parameters.

Selecting and Purchasing a Number

The Available Numbers section will display results matching your search:

  • Results show the phone number (formatted for display) and its location/region.
  • Click on a number row in the list to select it. A checkmark will appear next to the selected number.
  • Pagination controls (arrows, page numbers) may appear if many numbers are found.
  • Once a number is selected, the Add Number button becomes active. Click this button to proceed with the purchase.
  • The system will confirm the purchase and add the number to your inventory, usually charging the associated monthly fee (e.g., "$3 CAD/month") via your existing billing setup.

A confirmation message (toast notification) will appear upon successful purchase.
